With the numerous startups developing and Cornell Tech Campus in the works, NYC is slowly running behind Silicon Valley’s tail for entrepreneurship. The link above shows a map with up and coming organizations across NYC.

Algora (Dupont) - a Mediterranean restaurant with nice seating both indoor and outdoor. Food was served tapas style, but overall subpar. 3/5

Toki Underground (H. Street) - Be ready for a 2 hour wait at the 15 person bar style noodle house. Decorations were rather unique, including skateboards for footrests and a hidden bathroom sink via a hole in the wall, literally. Everything was grand about this experience, including the prices. 5/5

Tallula (Arlington) - Hidden on the outskirts of Clarendon, Tallula offers what some refer to as “New American.” Great ambience and conversation. 4/5
An article on women’s fitness (and comparison to men’s) from an objective and knowledgeable perspective. Based on the concepts defined in the article, it’s interesting to observe that the mentality for both men and women on working out and being fit happens to be incorrect. Takeaway: Running alone won’t help you permanently lose substantial weight and tone. Other aspects of fitness, including muscle building and a healthy diet are even bigger factors.

I always wondered what lacubrious meant and stumbled upon this. I love when something sparks me to do some research, especially now that the internet makes it so easy. Hope this clears up the confusion for others as well. Musicians should do this more often to provide us more insight into their private lives.
From an interview with Variety -
“I have a friend who calls himself Dr.Lacubrious,” Mraz said. “He’s like, it means lazy, its another word for lackadaisical. We couldn’t find it anywhere, and one day he left a message on my machine, and he’s like, you won’t find it in the dictionary because I made it up. And I thought it was very appropriate, because it is based on a friend of mine who’s the king of one-liners, who’ll say anything to get what he wants. And he’s usually pretty smooth about it.”
